iPhone cameras have become more high quality and continue to get better, but your photos can become even better when you use these 3 tips!

1. Turn off live photos.

Turning off live photos will cause the photos to be sharper, and better to edit and post on Instagram since they aren't moving. Live photos take up more space on your phone, but more importantly create grain if you decide to freeze the photo later. You can turn off live photos by going to the top of your camera screen and deselecting the option with multiple rings.

2. Use the exposure slider to brighten the photos.

Brighter photos where the people or subject is properly exposed look more high quality. Your phone will likely expose for the sky or whatever the brightest part of the photo is. Tap the main subject of your photo and slide the sun up until the subject is properly exposed. Watch me use the slider on a simple subject I found in my yard in the video!

3. Use Lightroom to edit your photos.

Editing your photos using the Lightroom Mobile App will up your photography game! The app is FREE and simple to use. The main editing tools I use are Crop, Exposure, Highlights, Shadows, Blacks, Contrast, and White Balance. The video below shows you exactly how I edit my iPhone photos for Instagram! If your photo is hazy you can also use the Dehaze tool.

I hope these tips help you create better iPhone photos, and I'd love to see your results via email! My email: shelbyschambachphoto@gmail.com
