As an underclassman in high school, you always looked forward to getting your senior photos taken in the trendiest clothes and professional hair and makeup, by your dream photographer. Or if you're a guy, you looked forward to seeing the "tough looking" photos in your jersey and wearing outfits your mom picked out ;).
Now, you are approaching senior photos and realize that choosing your outfits is HARD. One of the things people notice in senior photos is the outfit, and you naturally want everyone to love your outfit and photo. I want you to know that I realize the struggle. Instead of hearing about your outfit trouble after I compliment you on your super cute outfit, I want to help you! Here are some tips to use while choosing your outfits!
You should be comfortable.
If your outfit is uncomfortable or awkward, it will show in your photos. This doesn't mean wear sweatpants and a t-shirt, I'm just saying that choosing a super tight form fitting dress if you don't normally wear one, or a dress shirt that is too big or so small you can barely move, are probably not the best options for your photos.
You should feel confident.
Along with being comfortable, your outfit should make you feel confident! If you don't feel like yourself in your outfit, don't wear it. Feeling yourself and confident in your outfits, will help you love your photos so much more!
Save the best for last.
While you should feel comfortable and confident in all of your outfits, I highly recommend saving your favorite outfit and location for LAST! By the end of your session, you are as comfortable in front of the camera as you are going to be! While planning your session, we will be sure to make sure that we plan your favorite location for the end of the session, because I want your favorite outfit and location to be your favorite photos! Your smile and fake laughs:) will likely be more genuine at the end, than at the beginning!
